Ella Biron Jangl is an emerging Canadian artist working between Edinburgh and Montreal. Currently completing her MA in Social Anthropology with Development at the University of Edinburgh, she creates abstract paintings that bridge sound, emotion, and story. Her work is often rooted in specific songs, each canvas unfolding as a visual translation of rhythm and feeling.
Working from her studio in Montreal, Ella paints with intuition and intention. Her process often begins with a single piece of music, which becomes the atmospheric backbone of the work.
In 2021, Ella’s series on the theme of freedom was exhibited at the Alan Klinkhoff Gallery in Montreal. Though still early in her formal career, she has been painting for over a decade, developing a visual language that speaks across the senses. Her art invites viewers to pause, to listen with their eyes, and to enter a space where memory, myth, and music coalesce.

Ella's art is currently on display at the Altys Gallery in Montreal.
